PaygOps Surface Mapping: Unlock the full Potential of your Clients’ Crops

Bridgin Receivables Finance

Building on our flexibility to adapt Paygo solutions for all types of industries, PaygOps keeps adding more and more exciting features. This time around, we are thrilled to introduce Surface Mapping, a feature thoughtfully developed to further support our agritech partners in meeting their unique needs and those of smallholder farmers at the last mile.

Agribusinesses are constantly seeking ways to help farmers increase productivity and efficiency. They are aware that the growth of farmers' crops goes hand-in-hand with the growth of the business impact. Surface Mapping is one such solution that provides critical insights into crop growth and performance, thus, having a more comprehensive look at the surface of their clients’ fields and getting access to such data within seconds, agritech companies can certainly leverage their credit scoring and revenue evaluation processes.

Through the integrated GPS capabilities of the PaygOps mobile app, field agents will now be able to record multiple GPS coordinates through which PaygOps will compute the surface area of the farmer’s crop in no time. The information will sync automatically, so other teams will also be able to visualise the map and concerning data through the desktop interface. This way, the surface mapping generated will be accompanied by other valuable information about the crop that the agents can record via PaygOps, including type of crop, type of irrigation, size of crop in different units, etc.

And there’s more! By using PaygOps’ Surface Mapping, field agents can as well identify areas of their clients’ fields that require extra attention, such as watering or fertilisation and can potentiate their upselling this way, or guide the farmer to better plan their planting and harvesting schedules, and unlock the right inputs and services for improved efficiency. It’s a feature that certainly allows agribusinesses to better tailor the customer experience for the farmer.

This powerful functionality came into fruition at a perfect time, in response to our esteemed agritech partners’ requests, such as Solar Village, for which our Customer Success and Product teams worked closely together to come up with an ideal solution that could leverage the rest of agri-focused functionalities of PaygOps, as well as its renowned lease, sales and after-sales management features, aiming to provide agritech distributors with a fully specialised platform to streamline operations in their mission to better serve smallholder farmers’ communities.

“Solar Village works with African smallholder farmers. It is key for us to keep track of farmers' field locations and their cultivated hectarage in our customer database. So, we communicated our need for this feature to PaygOps and PaygOps listened and developed it. This is great! Well done and many thanks, PaygOps!”, Peter Legat, Managing Director at Solar Village

In recent years, advances in technology have made crop mapping more accessible and affordable for organisations of all sizes. Many software solutions are now integrating crop mapping features, but only a few offer an end-to-end solution that combines crop mapping with other critical management tools the way PaygOps does. This is where a robust and flexible last-mile management software comes into play.

PaygOps’ new Surface Mapping feature provides a comprehensive solution for agribusinesses and farmers, helping both improve productivity and efficiency at the last mile. This tool will be available for all PaygOps users starting in Q3. If interested in knowing more about the benefits of using the GPS Surface feature, contact us and request a demo.
