SOFTWARE QA ENGINEER

Full-Time position in Valencia, SPAIN / Remote

We are looking for a software QA engineer to join our team in providing life-changing services for rural
homes in sub-Saharan Africa and Asia.

 

We help design energy-access products (solar kits, cookstoves, etc.) and build fintech and management software that allows distributors to provide essential services in an affordable way using mobile payments to over 2,000,000 people, adding tens of thousands more every month. We hope to do a lot more with an extra person on board!

We are expanding our technologies to partners (in over 30 developing countries up to date), and expect to impact millions of people over the next 3 years, across the Globe.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Develop and execute exploratory and automated tests on the product​

  • Develop automated tests using Python and/or dedicated tools (e.g. Selenium or Katalon)

  • Review specifications and design documents to provide feedback about potential quality issues

  • Create detailed, meaningful and thorough test plans

  • Analyse bug reports and statistics to design targeted plans to improve quality

  • Perform regression testing when bugs are resolved

  • Other activities: frontend optimization, resiliency testing (e.g. ChaosMonkey)

  • Plan and prioritise QA activities

It is best if you have software development and software QA experience already. If you don’t know how
to do some of that and think you still have the chops, we say go for it!

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

  • Start Date: TBC

  • Duration: Permanent/Long term.

  • Location: Remote, but hybrid can be arranged in our office in Valencia, Spain, if preferred.

  • All business-related expenses are paid.

  • Special travelling allowance to go meet your colleagues wherever they work from.
