A Message from our CEO

Dear valued stakeholders,

We are proud to kick off 2023 by announcing that we're now helping over 3 million people access the financial resources they need to improve their economic circumstances and achieve their goals. Our team has worked tirelessly to develop innovative B2B software solutions that allow our 40 partner companies across 39 countries to offer their products to customers through instalments and subscriptions. This approach enables individuals and families to purchase essential items, such as clean energy appliances, farming inputs, clean cookstoves and equipment that they may not have been able to afford upfront.

PaygOps has solved the challenge of each of our partners having to develop its own cloud lending management platform; allowing a distributed workforce to carry out key processes to grow and manage its portfolio efficiently - essentially providing the rails for Africa's home grown embedded financing. Working closely with our partners, providing design feedback, we have implemented solutions that ease inventory management, automation of product delivery, and accounting and tax systems through our Custom Workflows business line.

In that respect, it's with great pleasure that I invite you to read our latest case study depicting, in depth, the Custom Workflow setup that we devised for One Acre Fund, which is allowing the social enterprise to materialise a totally new and exciting operating model meant to further improve farming families' lives. Moreover, I'm proud to unveil the first sneak peek of PaygOps' revamped user interface, intended to provide a smoother, more accessibe and friendly user experience for every one of our valued partners.

On the other hand, we have used our unique hardware engineering insights to further facilitate an Open-Source ecosystem by adding new features to OpenPAYGO™ Suite, while separately advising and designing the next generation of solar home systems and the European Commision-certified Smart Battery technology. On that front, I want to take the opportunity to reveal that our Product Development Services team will now go by the name of SolarisLab, hoping to amplify the reach of a robust service known for its commitment to help manufacturers push the limits of efficiency and sustainability. As the team gets ready to release the revamped brand in the next few weeks, I invite you to watch our engineers walk you through the process of bringing successful essential products to life, from idea to market:

Looking ahead, we are more committed than ever to our mission of financial inclusion. We will continue to focus on developing and improving our technology solutions, and we are committed to working alongside our partners to bring affordable and accessible credit to the unbanked. We believe that everyone should have the opportunity to achieve financial stability and security, and we are determined to do our part to make that a reality.

In 2023, we will continue to break down barriers to scale to impact over 6 million people. We will streamline the flow of credit to the end-customers through our disruptive Receivables Purchase Platform and new initiatives that unlock capital and reduce the financing burden on last mile distributors - a key bottleneck we've seen in the sector since its inception.

We will focus our attention on improving the last mile distributor's relationship with their end-customers, improving the end-customers purchase and repayment journey - allowing for appropriate lending products and achieving a higher level of repayment.

I want to take this opportunity to thank our team and our partners for their hard work and dedication to our mission. We could not have achieved this progress without your support and commitment. And to our valued stakeholders, thank you for your belief in our vision and for your support. Together, we can make a difference in the lives of the unbanked and underserved and bring financial inclusion to communities around the world.

Sincerely,

Siten Mandalia

CEO & Co-founder
