Lorentz submerges into Paygo functionalities with PaygOps

LORENTZ and Solaris Offgrid are pleased to announce the compatibility of the PS2-100 submersible solar pump with PaygOps. This partnership will allow distributors to provide PAYGO solar water pumps to the millions of farmers in emerging markets that can not afford the upfront payment to own this type of system.

Lorentz solar pumps paygo-enabled with PaygOps

“LORENTZ sees Solaris Offgrid as key players in the Paygo management software space, Solaris Offgrid has an innovative approach to the market and particularly in the productive use appliances area”, states Adrian Honey, Head of Marketing at LORENTZ.

The PS2-100 system is a super efficient and robust portable submersible pump system, pumping water for irrigation or for drinking water. Being a submersible pump, it does not require priming, does not have any suction lift limits and can pump water from boreholes, rivers, ponds or tanks, thus making it very flexible in use.

The compatibility with PaygOps provides distributors with advanced protection, making bypass of PAYGO features impossible. In addition, distributors of Lorentz solar water pumps will be able to take advantage of the different features of PaygOps software to efficiently manage their last-mile operations thanks to advanced lease management, sales management, after-sales management and inventory management features.

“PaygOps is on a mission to provide greater access to essential services to millions of people living in rural remote areas. Thus, facilitating the access to solar water pumps is critical to support farmers to afford clean technology and eventually save money and reduce CO2 emissions compared to the use of diesel water pumps. We are honoured to partner with Lorentz, one of the leaders of irrigation systems, and together provide a comprehensive solution to last-mile distributors”, adds Thibault Lesueur, Co-founder and CCO at Solaris Offgrid.

Solaris Offgrid is proud to contribute to the development of the solar pumping market, which has proven to benefit smallholder farmers to access pumping systems that demand less economic investment in the mid and long term compared to diesel-powered pumps, which usually have higher costs related to the purchase and transportation of fuel; and to replace manual irrigation practices with an affordable system that is easy to use and more efficient.
